You’re back in the studio! 🎉 But due to local regulations your class capacity may be slashed in half or more - now what?

Live-streaming your in-studio classes to those at home will allow you to share that class with more of your clients. Here are our recommended steps for creating a hybrid class.

For each in-studio class that you also want to live stream, you will need to create two instances of the class in your MINDBODY class schedule. Each instance should have a word that delineates where this class is being held.

  • Instance 1 - e.g. VIRTUAL Yoga for Beginners at 10AM

  • Instance 2 - e.g. IN-STUDIO Yoga for Beginners at 10AM

Both of these classes will populate into your FitGrid LIVE dashboard. You will choose to only Zoom Enable the class that is labeled VIRTUAL. The IN-STUDIO class will be left un-enabled and no FitGrid notifications will be sent.

Not only is this clear for your clients to read and book correctly, it allows you to set pricing options and capacities for each instance of the class.

Note, since you’ll be assigning the same instructor to each instance of the class, they will appear in your payroll reports 2x. To avoid overpaying the instructor you’ll want to create a pay rate for the VIRTUAL class to = $0

  • Instance 1 - e.g. VIRTUAL Yoga for Beginners at 10AM PAY RATE = Virtual at $0

  • Instance 2 - e.g. IN-STUDIO Yoga for Beginners at 10AM PAY RATE = Standard rate
