Data Diagnostics provides a clear view of client behavior and studio performance. It highlights key KPIs like conversion, return rates, visits, and lifespan, helping you measure progress and make data-driven decisions.

1. What Is Data Diagnostics?

Data Diagnostics is FitGrid’s analytics suite for boutique fitness. It tracks how leads convert, how clients stay engaged, and how your results compare to industry benchmarks. The dashboard is organized into key sections—Leads, Engaged Clients, At-Risk Clients, Reputation Stats, and Client Segmentation.

New Clients

Number of new clients acquired in the last 30 days.

1st Time Client Return Rate

Percentage of clients who attended their first class during the last 30 days and returned.

Client Rate That Only Came Once (Since Oct 2022)

Percentage of clients who attended only 1 class since Oct 2022 across all clients in the selected location(s)

Total Visits

Number of client visits during the last 30 days.

At-Risk Clients

Clients whose most recent 30-day attendance decreased by more than 50% compared to the previous 30 days.

At-Risk Client Rate

Percentage of at-risk clients to total clients in last 30 days

Average Lifespan

Average total days clients are considered active since Oct 2022, measured as the difference between their first visit and last visit.


1.1 - Dashboard > KPIs

The Dashboard is the central hub of Data Diagnostics, offering a clear snapshot of your most important KPIs. It highlights metrics like lead conversion, client retention, visit volume, at-risk clients, and average lifespan so you can track performance and make informed business decisions.

  • Lead Conversion Rate: Percentage of converted leads to total leads during the last 30 days.

  • New Clients: Number of new clients acquired in the last 30 days.

  • 1st Time Client Return Rate: Percentage of clients who attended their first class during the last 30 days and returned.

  • Total Visits: Number of client visits during the last 30 days.

  • At-Risk Clients: Clients whose most recent 30-day attendance decreased by more than 50% compared to the previous 30 days.

  • Average Lifespan: Average total days clients are considered active since Oct 2022, measured as the difference between their first visit and last visit.


1.2 - Dashboard > Benchmarking

The Benchmarking Comparison table shows how your studio performs against industry standards. Each metric is displayed alongside the average in your modality and the top 10% in your modality.

Compare your studio’s metrics like Lead Conversion Rate, 1st Time Client Return Rate, Average Lifespan, New Clients, Total Visits, and At-Risk Clients with benchmarks to understand where you stand and where you can improve.


2. Leads Section

The Leads section shows how leads enter your studio, how many convert, and where opportunities for improvement exist.

2.1 - Leads Section > KPIs

This section highlights how new leads enter your studio and convert into clients, with key metrics like total leads, conversion rate, and unbooked accounts to show strengths and gaps.

2.2 - Leads Section > Leads Benchmarking

The Leads Benchmarking Comparison table shows how your studio’s lead conversion performance compares against industry benchmarks.

Definitions

  • Lead Conversion Rate: Percentage of converted leads out of total leads.

  • Total Leads: The total number of accounts created during the selected period.

  • Converted Leads: The number of those accounts that attended at least one class.

Each metric is displayed in three columns:

  • Your Studio: Actual results from your studio.

  • Avg in Modality: The average results across studios in the same modality.

  • Top 10% in Modality: The results achieved by the top-performing 10% of studios in your modality.

Moving new clients from a trial package to member requires effective and timely communication, where Lead Details become critical.


2.3 - Leads Section > Leads Details

The Converted Leads by Date chart shows the number of new leads who became paying clients over time, helping you track conversion trends across months.

3. Engaged Clients Section

The Engaged Clients section shows how new and returning clients participate in your studio, tracking visits, retention, and long-term engagement.

3.1 - Engaged Clients Section > KPIs

  • New Client Rate: Percentage of new clients compared to total clients.

  • Total Visits: Number of clients’ visits during the selected period in selected location(s).

  • 1st Time Client Return Rate: Percentage of clients who attended their 1st class during the selected period in the selected location(s) and returned to any location.

  • Avg Lifespan Since Oct 2022: Average total days clients are considered active since Oct 2022. Lifespan is the date difference between first visit (since Oct 2022) and last visit.

  • Client Rate That Only Came Once Since Oct 2022 (Lower is Better): Percentage of clients who attended only 1 class since Oct 2022 across all clients in the selected location(s).

The Engaged Clients Benchmarking Comparison table lets you compare your studio’s engagement metrics against industry averages and the top 10% in your modality.

3.3 - Engaged Clients Section > Clients Who Only Came Once Chart

The Client Rate That Only Came Once by Month chart shows month-over-month trends of clients who attended only one class since Oct 2022. This helps identify patterns in client retention and spot changes over time.

Click See Clients Details to view a detailed list of client names, contact information, and attendance history related to the metric. The list can be exported as a CSV for further analysis.


3.4 - Engaged Clients Section > Clients Who Only Came Once Table

The Client Rate That Only Came Once by Month chart shows month-over-month trends of clients who attended only one class since Oct 2022. This helps identify patterns in client retention and spot changes over time.

4. At-Risk Section

The At-Risk Clients view highlights which of your clients are at risk of dropping off, based on their attendance patterns. This helps you take proactive steps to retain them before they lapse.

  • Total Clients in Last 30 Days: number of clients who attended a class during the last 30 days

  • At-Risk Clients: Clients whose most recent 30-day attendance count decreased by more than 50% compared with the previous 30 days


4.2 - At-Risk Section > Benchmarking Comparison Table

This section allows you to see how your studio’s at-risk client rate compares to the average and top-performing studios in your modality.

  • Your Studio: Shows your current At-Risk Client Rate.

  • Avg in Modality: The average At-Risk Client Rate across all studios in the same modality.

  • Top 10% in Modality: The rate achieved by the top-performing studios in your modality.

A bar chart provides a visual comparison of your studio versus the modality average.

This table lists individual clients whose attendance has dropped significantly compared to the previous 30 days, including their contact information, visit history, and percentage deviation. It can be downloaded as a CSV file for deeper analysis or targeted retention outreach.
