The Talent Optimization Dashboard gives you a clear view of how your instructors and classes are performing. Use it to compare, track, and optimize teaching performance across your studio.

What the report shows

  • Compare instructors by attendance, fill rate, and workload

  • Track instructor performance trends over the past 13 months

  • See demand patterns by class slot to improve scheduling

  • Monitor overall studio KPIs month-to-month

Report Filters

Narrow results instantly by:

  • Location – One or all studios

  • Class Slot – Performance for a recurring slot (e.g. Mon 6pm Yoga)

  • Month – Any of the past 12 months (default = last full month)

Instructor Performance Table

View each instructor side-by-side with these metrics:

  • Average Fill Rate – % of seats filled

  • Average Clients per Class – All billed clients (attended, late cancel, no-show)

  • Classes Taught – Completed sessions

  • Extra Classes Taught – Substitute classes covered

👉 Below-average values are highlighted in yellow.
👉 Instructors with no classes still appear (helpful for spotting gaps or onboarding).

Instructor Trends Charts

Click an instructor to see their 13-month history:

  • Fill Rate

  • Clients per Class

  • Classes Taught

  • Extra Classes Taught

Trends display as monthly bar charts for easy comparison.

Heatmap

Reading the Instructor Schedule Heatmap

  • Days of the week are displayed as columns (Mon–Sun).

  • Time slots are displayed as rows (hour by hour, 24-hour format).

  • Color shading shows usage:

    • Darker cells = higher fill rates (higher demand)

    • Lighter cells = lower fill rates (lower demand)

This gives you a clear, visual way to see when your clients are most likely to attend classes.

How Heatmap Works

  1. Data Sources: The heatmap is powered by your studio’s class attendance data.

  2. Fill Rate Visualization: Each cell represents a specific time/day slot.

    • The fill rate is mapped on a 0–100% scale.

    • White → Light Green → Dark Green gradient shows increasing fill rates.

  3. Hover for Details: Move your cursor over any cell to view:

    • Class time slot

    • Average clients per class

    • Fill rate percentage

This lets you drill into the specifics without leaving the dashboard.

Using the Heatmap for Decisions

The heatmap can help you:

  1. Identify high-demand slots → Add more classes or top instructors here.

  2. Spot underperforming slots → Consider moving, consolidating, or cutting.

  3. Balance instructor loads → Match instructors with peak or low-traffic slots.

  4. Test new offerings → Try new class types in empty or lightly used slots.

Tip: Use the heatmap regularly to spot trends over time (e.g., seasonal peaks, shifts in demand) so your schedule evolves alongside client behavior.
